Our goal from the beginning was to have a shit ton of fun by bringing some more notice to the ATL's amazing and under-appreciated music community; and to bring a wide range of genres and fans together into another community - the beatlanta community.  We have met a ton of awesome bands and people since starting and we only predict bigger and better things for us and the community in the future. We have a ton of bands on the cusp and we have a ton of amazing blogs and websites and promoters in this city helping to make it happen. Thank you everyone for your support and any donation you can give.

Adam Keen - I started this site and had the driving idea and dedication. I work a 45 hour a week day job consulting in real estate (see me if you need to buy, sell or invest in real estate - consider me your laid back source for information in that arena) and spend the rest of my time on beatlanta. After a couple months I enlisted Chris and together we have grown beatlanta.  I write, edit, take pics, review albums, throw house shows, shoot video and keep up the promotion on the site.

Chris Fuller - Chris has been on almost since the beginning and is now a partner for beatlanta. Chris dedicates a lot of his time to beatlanta. He spends his days editing our videos, writing, contacting bands and keeping up the promotion on the site.

Together Chris and I go to shows to document bands, we do interviews, and from time to time we book shows at venues around Atlanta; we also keep up our calendar and identify the local bands playing. Between the two of us we keep track of just about everything Atlanta bands are doing. We invite everyone to post comments, send us flyers, news, new bands or whatever the hell you feel like we should be paying attention to...Please GET INVOLVED. We know we're not the only site out there to choose from but we are another great source for local music happenings and goin ons. We are a central hub for Atlanta music...and we're just getting started.

So I went to the Sublime concert last Friday, July 23rd at the Masquerade Music Park. The show was the shit. Being the hardcore Sublime fan that I am, I was skeptical when I heard Sublime had found a new singer and was going on tour; and to be honest, I didn't really pay any attention to them until the day before the concert...I looked up their new singer, found out they were labeling themselves as "Sublime with Rome" and went ahead and took a listen to the new guy, Rome. I don't know his background but he fits the part of Bradley Nowell quite well. He has a similar voice and carries himself in a similar way. They even have some new stuff coming out and it sounds really great and in the tradition of Sublime. That said...on to the show. The show was the shit. Thats twice I say it and twice I mean, twice as much.

I didn't get any videos as I tend not to unless I'm at a local show; and I know that someone will do the job for me. Whether you're an avid fan and know every album and song (like me) or someone born less than 20 years ago and have come to love them - this show and tour is an absolute fucking blast. They played all the hits you would expect and want to hear and they played some more obscure stuff only a true Sublime fan would know

Brooklyn’s psych-shoegaze-soul outfit Quiet Loudly, and raucous post-country band GunFight!, are coming to Atlanta, and you’re invited! Between these two bands there’s a bit of something for everyone, and there’s no doubt the live shows are going to melt faces, break hearts, and maybe even get you wet! Quiet Loudly infuses classic soul influence with their signature shoegaze and noise roots. Drawing from a range of influences from Yo La Tengo, Slowdive and Sonic Youth, to Al Green, Otis Redding and The Band, the quartet presents a new soulful and atmospheric sound.
